From Slab to Final Inspection
Building new in Hervey Bay or surrounding suburbs? Our Sparky handles complete residential new-build electrical packages — from initial design and quoting against your house plans, through slab-stage conduits, frame-stage rough-in, lock-up switchboard, second fix and final certification. We work directly for owners, with project builders, and as nominated subcontractor for several Fraser Coast builders.
Every package is built to AS/NZS 3000:2018 with per-circuit RCBO protection as standard, interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms (mandatory in new builds), modern Clipsal or HPM switch range, and the option to add EV-ready charging pre-wiring (always cheaper at rough-in than retrofitted later).
We don't do bargain-basement quotes that leave you with bare-minimum power point counts and one downlight per room. We design properly — enough power points where you'll actually use them, downlight grids that suit the room, smart positioning for TVs and appliances, and we walk the plans with you before pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How much does new home electrical cost in Hervey Bay?
- A typical 4-bedroom Hervey Bay new build electrical package (design, rough-in, switchboard, fix-out, smoke alarms, certification) runs $11,000-$18,000 depending on inclusions. Detailed quote against your specific plans.
- Can you work directly with my Hervey Bay builder?
- Yes — we work as nominated subcontractor for several Fraser Coast builders and as a standalone trade for owner-builders. We coordinate around your builder's program.
- Should I add EV charging wiring during the build?
- Yes — running heavy cable to the garage at rough-in stage costs $300-$600 versus $1,500-$3,000 to retrofit later. Even if you don't have an EV yet, do it. Same applies to solar cable runs to the roof.
- Do you provide an electrical compliance certificate at handover?
- Yes — a Form 3 / Certificate of Test (Queensland electrical safety certificate) is provided on every new-build job. Required by your builder, conveyancer and insurer.
